AFTER THE RAIN II

8th July 2021

If you saw my previous post, then this one perhaps needs little introduction. Except that while the previous post was from a solo walk last Friday night, this is from yesterday, after another showery day when we’d hoped to get out in the evening, but then the rain settled in and we accepted that we might not be going anywhere.

Until late on, around 9pm, when the rain finally stopped, and we jumped in the car and drove across town to have a walk on this stretch of beach. Not a long walk, but enough to settle the lads. And for me to enjoy this unexpected light. I love these moments when the clouds break over the water and the light glows through. Not as dramatic as Friday’s sunset, but I was enjoying this mood, particularly when the clouds were reflected in the water left behind by the receding tide.
