I don’t know about you but by Friday, when my brain is a bit frazzled, I’m looking for a calm, cool and collected interior for International Fridays. Spare me the bling; just show me something understated and serene. And, time and again, this desire takes me back to Stockholm. Why is this? How do Swedish interiors always seem to get it so right?
This week’s apartment sums up the aesthetic I crave, from the simple elegance of that sweeping communal staircase to the beautifully styled and light-drenched living spaces.
I love the pale wide-planked flooring and chunky radiators, and, of course, that traditional tiled stove – which works by the way. The mix of midcentury pieces doesn’t hurt either.
This apartment, now sold, was marketed by the always classy Fantastic Frank.
