When I spotted this house highlighted on Strutt & Parker’s Featured Properties page, well, I had to share it. I mentioned a few weeks back that I’m now including properties that are to let on the blog and Little Tew will be a fantastic find for a tenant.
Located in the Cotswolds market town of Chipping Norton, this five bedroom house combines its period character with a lightness of palette and understated furnishing style to create an interior that feels both elegant yet relaxed.
Highlights include the drawing room, which extends to a fairly staggering 42ft long, and the beautifully pared back kitchen, where the simple Shaker-style cabinetry is complemented by a rustic flagstone floor and an Aga.
And who wouldn’t want to be nestled up alongside the Aga in that Eames RAR rocker? There’s much to love about this interior, from the exposed timber doors and rustic beams to the painted wood panelled wall in one of the bedrooms and the sitting room with its parquet floor and giant stone fireplace with open fire.
And the features don’t end inside: the house also has a very well landscaped garden with a large terraced area for summer dining. I should mention that Little Tew is being let unfurnished, but even without the styling shown here, the bones of this house are just fantastic.
Little Tew was marketed by Strutt & Parker.
