The title says if all: just look at this house. Many interiors benefit from some explanation: why did the owners take a certain approach? Why this aesthetic, or that?
Here, quite simply, it’s about indoor-outdoor living and gorgeous contemporary design. I had to share this house after spotting it featured on Elle España as, posting this from a chilly and autumnal Scotland, the lifestyle this house suggests does indeed feel like a dream right now. The interior is scattered with some key pieces of contemporary furniture, including the Tufty-too sofa in the living room and the Husk armchair and ottoman in the reading area, both by Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia.
Elsewhere there are pieces by Antonio Citterio and Marcel Wanders, and the elegant interior styling literally spills outside onto the decked pool area with recliners designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, again for B&B Italia. Architecturally, the full height, fully glazed concertina doors that open between the main living space and the terrace are a particularly striking feature. A beautiful home.
